CPI Recognizes Outstanding Students with 2025 Scholarships

[HASTINGS, NE April 18, 2025] — Cooperative Producers, Inc. (CPI) proudly announces the recipients of its 2025 CPI Scholarships. This year, five dependents of CPI patrons and three dependents of CPI employees have been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year.

“The CPI Scholarship Program underscores our commitment to ‘Making Local Matter’ and supporting the next generation of professionals as they prepare to enter the workforce,” said Gary Brandt, CEO of CPI. “These individuals have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and promise for the future. We are proud to support them in their educational journeys and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on their communities and beyond.”

The CPI Scholarship Program is open annually to graduating high school seniors planning to pursue post-secondary education, as well as to students currently in their first year of post-secondary education, who are dependents of CPI members or employees.

The 2025 CPI Scholarship recipients and their respective hometowns are:

Patron Dependents:

  • Samuel Cederburg – Minden, NE
  • Evan Frink – Hastings, NE
  • Katelyn Bunger – Upland, NE
  • Beau Rohrich – Wood River, NE
  • Lane Conway – Campbell, NE

Employee Dependents:

  • Erin Wagner – Osmond, NE
  • Caleb Kindschuh – Axtell, NE
  • Lillian Barnes – Red Cloud, NE

Scholarship recipients were selected based on their academic achievements, leadership qualities, honors, and participation in extracurricular activities. As part of the application process, students also submitted an essay reflecting on the importance of cooperatives to global agriculture.
