[HASTINGS, NE April 16, 2024] — Cooperative Producers, Inc. (CPI) has announced that Jon Hjetland has been hired as Vice President of Operations effective April 15, 2024.
Hjetland has 18 years of experience in the agriculture industry. Throughout his career, Jon has managed various facilities in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. He previously worked as a manager overseeing multiple facilities with Cargill.
“Jon’s experience working cross-functionally and with many different teams and groups of employees will allow him to make an immediate impact on CPI’s operations,” stated Gary Brandt, CEO. He added, “I am confident that his ability to enhance CPI’s safety culture, while adding efficiencies, will make CPI better able to serve our patrons.”
Jon was raised in Hiawatha, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics and a specialty in Finance. He lives in Ravenna with his wife, Carmela, and his two daughters, Briley and Ariah.
