[HASTINGS, NE June 16, 2022] — CPI’s Saronville location sustained additional damage in Tuesday night’s storms. Staff has been on site to assess the extent of the damage. No injuries were reported, but local fire departments were called to put out a fire caused by the leg collapsing into the mechanical control center. One overhead bin was lost as a result. The storm also destroyed the 105’ bin that was going to be repaired from last month’s storm. At this time CPI is devising plans to handle the grain as the bin site cannot be fixed by this year’s harvest. CPI’s Grain Team will be in communication once plans are in place.
